Change Block Tracking esXpress now utilizes vSphere APIs to extract information as to which blocks have changed since the last backup, opposed to reading the entire VM to obtain this data. esXpress will continue to support both methodologies for earlier VMware releases (i.e. non-CBT supported)
De-Dupe Optimization esXpress enhanced its capability to further optimize its De-duplication performance
OVF Install Wizard The esXpress Appliance OVFs can now be deployed using a Windows Installer-based wizard
Graphical Restore esXpress can now perform VM and VMDK restores directly from the Management GUI
No longer dependent on VM Kernal esXpress host management capabilities are no longer dependent on having the VMKernel port available. Management will now utilizes SSH communication with the Service Console
